Basketball Wives Shake-Up
Evelyn Returns | Nick Young & Dwayne Wade Baby Mamas Added

There are so many rumors circulating about the Basketball Wives LA cast that I can hardly keep up.  But it’s starting to become more clear now as things are being confirmed.  First, it’s been confirmed that 5 members of the cast have have been fired in a BIG Basketball Wives shake-up. The ladies who were let go are Malaysia Pargo, Brandi Maxwell, Angel Brinks, Angel Love and DJ Duffey, and people aren’t exactly sure why.

According to  producers, the network just wanted to add a little more spice to the show, but people are speculating other reasons. Most think Duffey was fired because of the constant conflict between her and the rest of the cast. In an interview with Wendy Williams, Tami recently said, “she is absolutely out of here,” and that,” I can honestly tell you that I doubt she will be back.”

At an interview with VH1.com, Shaunie confessed that she didn’t want Duffey on the show because she felt that her story wasn’t “qualified” and boring. She also told VH1 that Duffey had a habit of talking when she wasn’t being spoken to and that it often got Duffey into trouble, “Sometimes she interjects when we kind of don’t need that interjection.”

While Duffey and the other ladies are out, it has been said that the former members will likely be making some appearances throughout the new season.

It also appears that former Basketball Wives favorites Shaunie O’Neal, Tami Roman, Jackie Christie will be the only returning cast members for the show.  Evelyn Lozada will be joining the new LA cast as part of the Basketball Wives shake-up.  Evelyn recently confirmed while guest hosting The Real that she would be rejoining the cast in an effort to bring “substance and depth to the show”.

Other confirmed new cast members are Keonna Green, the mother of Nick Young’s two children and Dwayne Wade’s baby mama, Aja Metoyer.

Keonna recently had a child with the Nick Young and became pregnant while Young was engaged to Iggy Azalea.  Aja has a three-year-old son with Dwayne Wade, a child she reportedly had while the NBA player and Gabrielle Union were not in a relationship.
