Alicia Keys Releases “That’s What’s Up” Single To Celebrate Her Birthday
Today, January 25th, is Alicia Keys’ 36th birthday, so be sure to wish her a good one. Following the release of her sixth studio album Here last November, the R&B singer has dropped a brand new song – “That’s What’s Up.” The gospel-inspired track uses a sample of Kings of Tomorrow’s “So Alive,” which Kanye West also sampled on “Low Lights” from The Life of Pablo.
“I wanna thank you Lord for all the love / Time after time, you lifted me up / Lord knows, you’ll never let me down / Now that’s what’s up.”
In addition, Keys released what could be a music video for the track on her social media. This video features the singer strolling around what looks like a hotel suite, mouthing the lyrics of the song, before she takes a bubble bath.
