Kelly Price Confirms That She’ll Be Singing At The Chris Brown vs Soulja Boy Boxing Match
Well, it looks like concerts aren’t the only thing Kelly Price is booked for. The “As We Lay” singer recently revealed that she would be singing the Star Spangled Banner at the forthcoming Chris Brown vs Soulja Boy boxing match. A boxing match?!?! With Chris Brown and Soulja Boy?!?! Yep, that’s what we said.
Since the early part of the month, Breezy and Big Soulja have been going at it, relentlessly, via social media. The Chris Brown and Soulja Boy beef apparently ignited after Soulja Boy flirtatiously liked and commented on Chris Brown’s ex-girlfriend’s, Karrueche, Instagram picture. Brown then called Soulja up, letting him know that he had ‘crossed the line’. Eventually, Soulja found it comical and he went to Twitter to detail what had just happened. The situation spiraled completely out of control, as the singer and the rapper went tit-for-tat through Instagram posts. Though Breezy tried to play it classy, there was no way he was going to let things slide without putting homeboy in check. He took to the app, indulging into his infamous ‘#TeamPetty antics’. Of course, Breezy’s seemingly unbothered persona must’ve triggered Big Soulja, because when Breezy mentioned working it out in the ring, he didn’t decline.
The two have decided that it’s time to turn those words into actions and take their frustration out in a one-on-one televised fight. Following the two going public with their decision to scrabble, legendary boxer, Floyd Mayweather Jr. made it known that he was now Soulja Boy’s trainer for the match, while Mike Tyson will train Chris Brown. We’re guessing this thing is getting pretty serious, right?
The Chris Brown vs Soulja Boy fight was previously supposed to go down in Las Vegas, but due to regulations requiring drug testing that has been ruled out. Sources say that they will be taking the fight to Dubai, and it will allegedly air on Pay-Per-View.
There is no official date in place, just yet; however, 50 Cent has already enlisted Kelly Price to sing the National Anthem. Price posted to her Instagram account, expressing how joyed she was to be singing for the fellas at the fight.
The plot just keeps getting thicker and thicker. Honestly, it all seems like a publicity stunt. If our claim is right, the marketing skills are spectacular! Who knows if there will ever be a Chris Brown vs Soulja Boy fight, let alone if this whole fiasco is even legit. But, until further notice, we’ll continue to be entertained.
Do you think this is all for publicity? Let us know in the comments.
