VH1 Series, The Breaks Gets A Premiere Date, Trailer Revealed
If you didn’t catch VH1’s original TV movie The Breaks last year, don’t worry. You will now be able to view it as a television series, debuting on February 20th, 2017. Â The series stars Wood Harris, Mack Wilds and Afton Williamson among others. Â We previously reported that Teyana Taylor had also secured a role on the show.
The movie told the story of Nikki, David, and DeeVee, three friends trying to make it in the music industry during the early 1990s Hip-Hop scene. This week, a teaser trailer for the series debuted. It gives us just a glimpse of the types of risks DeeVee will have to make.
“All I want is to be a producer,” DeeVee narrates over the trailer, as he goes to meet with Ahm, an aspiring rapper who is also a drug dealer. “To make music. Not in my dad’s garage, but, for real. It isn’t going to be easy,” DeeVee continues.
You can check out the trailer here on the official website. The Breaks premieres on VH1 next month, Monday, February 20th at 9:00/8:00 central pm.
