Mini-Movie Continues with LeToya Luckett Used To Music Video

Grammy-award winning, multi-platinum selling R&B artist LeToya Luckett has released her latest music video, the second installment in her three part mini movie series. The song, which is called, “Used To” is the second single off her highly anticipated album, Back 2 Life.  Below, check out the new visual for LeToya Luckett Used To.

“”Used To” is one of my favorite records because of its confident in your face lyrics. There’s nothing more attractive than a woman who’s humble, but knows what she can bring to the table,” Letoya says of the track.  “I wanted the video to possess that same quality. It shows the bounce back from the disappointment of a relationship gone wrong, but it also showcases the vulnerability of a woman who allowed herself to love.”

The LeToya Luckett Used To music video features Thomas Q. Jones, former NFL player turned actor.  He was also featured in the “B2L” music video.

Luckett, who was once a member of the R&B group Destiny’s Child began her solo career after signing with Capitol Records in 2003. In 2004 her first promotional song called “You Got What I Need” was released and by 2006 her first, self-titled album was released. Luckett was named one of the best new artist of 2006, as well as a top songwriter of that year. Her second solo album named Lady Love was released in 2009 and debuted number 1 on the U.S. Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and number twelve on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.

It has been 8 years since her last album was released, but judging by her two new singles it has been well worth the wait. The 13-track LP will be featuring hip-hop artist Ludacris and is produced by Grammy-award winning hit makers Andre Harris, Warryn Campbell and Anthony Saunders who is a new comer among others.

In a recent radio interview about the video, Luckett says, “I wanted to tell a story. I really wanted to just flush the story out, and I wanted it to be something that was relatable. Something that I know I have gone through before and I know, not just women but men have gone through as well.”
