[VIDEO] Ralph Angel Pleads For Darla Not To Work With Charley In All-New Queen Sugar Episode
The Bordelons are back to dominate another Wednesday night… once again. After facing a minor setback with the opening of the Queen Sugar Mill, more trouble arises on the homefront for Charley (Dawn-Lyen Gardner), Nova (Rutina Wesley), and Ralph Angel (Kofi Siriboe). Discovering that the farm was solely left to him, by his father, Ralph decides to no longer keep his ‘kept secret’, revealing the news to both Charley and Nova. Now, after hearing Ralph’s confession, the tension continues to thicken between the siblings, leaving two angered sisters and unsettling disagreements amongst the three. Let’s just say, things aren’t so sweet over at good old Queen Sugar right now.
Turning to the mother of his child, Darla (Bianca Lawson), for emotional support, Ralph soon finds himself feeling alone, as he realizes that his desire for Darla’s shoulder to lean on may conflict with her mill duties for Charley.
Meanwhile, Nova learns something unforeseen about Aunt Vi (Tina Lifford).
Will the Bordelons ever find that common ground? Well, we sure hope so…
Announced today, Queen Sugar has been renewed for a third season. The Ava DuVernay-directed series prevails, episode by episode, as it is one of OWN TV’s most-watched dramas on the network. Additionally, the production company has signed DuVernay to a first-look deal for television and digital media.
“I’m so proud of Ava and her ability as a filmmaker to challenge the status quo and push for inclusiveness on screen and behind the camera,” Winfrey boasted. “I love, love, love the work we have been able to create so far. I am looking forward to developing many more meaningful projects together.”
