Two New Tyler Perry Films, She’s Living My Life and A Madea Family Funeral, Set To Hit Theaters 2018
Tyler Perry has two new films on the roster for 2018, one which will feature famed actress Taraji P. Henson. Perry and Henson last worked together on The Family That Preys (2008) and I Can Do Bad All By Myself (2009). Now, the two will reunite for Perry‘s upcoming film, She’s Living My Life.
The anticipated film will see Henson in the starring role of a devoted wife who begins to feel jaded as a result of standing by her devious husband. When she discovers that she has been betrayed by him, she becomes completely enraged.
She’s Living My Life is set to hit theaters on March 30th, which is also the start of Easter Weekend.
Additionally, Tyler Perry’s A Madea Family Funeral will open on August 3rd, 2018. The comedy, featuring Perry, himself, Cassi Davis, and Patrice Lovely, will center a joyous family reunion that soon becomes a nightmare as Madea and the crew travel to the backwoods of Georgia. Upon arrival, they find themselves unexpectedly planning a funeral that might unravel unsavory family secrets.
The forthcoming film will also follow Tyler Perry’s Boo 2: A Madea Halloween, a sequel to the 2016 horror comedy, debuting this year, on October 20th.
In other news, Perry’s applauded primetime soap opera, The Haves and the Have Nots, returned for its latest season June 20th. The drama series had a successful premiere, dominating television all across the board. According to reports, it ruled over any scripted series that aired on the night of June 20th, along with Ava Duvernay’s Queen Sugar going toe-to-toe with the explosive ratings.
It’s no secret that Tyler Perry is definitely a beast at storytelling. So, there is no doubt that the box offices will be swarming with anxious moviegoers once these two films release.
