Murder Inc.’s Duo, Fitted Circle Ready To Carry The Musical Legacy of Irv Gotti

Meet Davo McLOUD and Dallas Pierre, Atlanta, Georgia, by way of St. Louis, Missouri, siblings  – collectively known as Fitted Circle. The dynamic duo is one of three new acts, along with Maryland’s Boogiie Byrd and Brooklyn’s Sir Preme, signed to Irving ‘Gotti’ Lorenzo’s recently relaunched Murder Inc. label through a brand new partnership with Lyor Cohen and Kevin Liles’ 300 Entertainment.

The musical duo can be heard on four impressive tracks; “Low 4 Me,” “Higher,” “What’s Real” and “My Time,” featuring the above mentioned Boogiie Byrd, courtesy of the imprint’s first outing, a 17 track compilation project entitled, Irv Gotti Presents… TALES The Playlist.

We caught up with Fitted Circle to talk teaming up up with Irv Gotti and making a name for themselves in music.  Check out the full interview below…

Parlé Mag: You’re new to the game and folks might not be familiar yet, describe your sound for us.
Fitted Circle: We bringing a smooth sound, on some young player swag… but something you can still get lit to and have a good time. We wanna bring that feel good music back.

Parlé Mag: What particular string of events led to you all initially linking up with veteran industry impresario/Murder Inc. founder Irv Gotti?
Davo McLOUD: I’m a producer and an artist, and I had a solo mix-tape out that caught the ear of the director Benny Boom. Benny a real dude who saw something in the beginning, and one day we were on a movie set for Irv Gotti’s ‘Tales‘ and he introduced us to Irv. We sent Irv some new music we had been working on, and he hit us back some hours later telling us to come to the studio to work with Chink Santana. Ever since, our life has been changing fast.

Parlé Mag: How much actual input and involvement does Irv have when it comes to the overall hands on experience with you all and your music?
Fitted Circle: He always come into the studio to see what we working on… especially if he not busy with other things. Sometimes he will come help create through the whole process. He’s an ultimate creative director.

Parlé Mag: And, has Mr. Lorenzo given you all any real helpful advice, being that he has been in the music business for nearly two and a half decades now?
Fitted Circle:  Literally, just work hard. Every day you have to be working; bringing to life old ideas… thinking of new ones. Nothing is given, you gonna get out what you put in.

Parlé Mag: Your latest singles/videos are entitled “Low 4 Me,” tell me about these particular compositions; how did they even come to fruition?
Fitted Circle:  It is based on an episode of ‘Tales‘ called “Trap Queen.” But it’s also a very real song, because the culture is heavily intrigued by living in this fantasy world where money ain’t a thing and you just lit having a good time. But it’s people in cities like Atlanta, where we live now, who are really living this type of life everyday. And for some, every weekend. And we really not even old enough to get into strip clubs, but we already been to a couple and went crazy!

Parlé Mag: What do you all want people to get from your music?
Fitted Circle:  A great vibe. Something that can take you away from everything you going through in that moment. Even if it’s a more serious song. We want you to feel the passion and emotion in the music.

Parlé Mag: In terms of longevity, what do you all feel it is that will continue to sustain you all in this grueling industry?
Fitted Circle:  Creativity, hard work and never putting ourselves in a box.

Parlé Mag:  Do you all have any additional future aspirations, maybe even completely away from music?
Fitted Circle:  Definitely! Modeling, acting, tech, clothing… we gonna strive to do it all.

Parlé Mag: Looking ahead, say five or maybe even ten years from now, where do you all see yourselves?
Fitted Circle:  Successful, but still grinding and having other investments.

Parlé Mag: As for the immediate, what’s next for you all?
Fitted Circle:  Letting the world know who we are, and definitely more music and be prepared for some crazy shows.

Parlé Mag: Is there anything I left out or just plain forgot to mention?
Fitted Circle:  ‘TALES‘ ON BET. Keep watching! Every episode got a dope storyline and dope music.

Parlé Mag: Any “closing” thoughts for our readers?
Fitted Circle:  Follow us on Instagram: @FittedCircle and on Twitter: @CircleFitted.
