August Alsina Breaks Out With “Gucci Gang” Remix, Listen Here…
It’s been a minute since we’ve heard from the New Orleans-bred crooner, August Alsina. After the release of his most recent track, “Don’t Matter”, things quieted down a bit, and #AlsinaNation began to flood the social media timelines for answers from the 25-year-old. However, in early November, Alsina took to his Twitter to finally put an end to those unwavering questions, as he held nothing back when putting the full blame on Def Jam for the delay of his third album.

But, if you’ve been following Alsina for some time, then you should definitely know that this isn’t the first time that he has voiced his dissatisfaction with the label. Rumors have also been swirling for a while about how messed up things are over at Def Jam, and it seems that Alsina is confirming those allegations. In other words, he’s fed up!
Now, though we exactly aren’t sure about what all is going on at the Def Jam headquarters, we can say that an August Alsina album doesn’t seem to be on the radar anytime soon. However, the “Drugs” singer has taken action into his own hands, being sure to deliver something that’ll hold his fans over… at least, for the moment.
Yesterday, HotNewHipHop exclusively premiered Alsina’s newly-released remix to Lil Pump’s “Gucci Gang” hit. If you don’t know, Lil Pump is a 17-year-old, Florida-based rapper. His end of the summer jam, “Gucci Gang”–from his self-titled debut album, gained worldwide recognition, as it peaked at number three on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Currently, it sits at number four and is the highest-charting single for the rapper.
Aside from Dave East and Joyner Lucas, August Alsina happens to be the latest to remix the famed track, and he offered a compelling, smooth twist to the original, doing what he does best, Alsina style.
“Never f*ck a girl who do cocaine. That’s a violation to the dope game. You f*ck a b*tch, she forget your name; I f*ck a b*tch, she don’t be the same.” He sings, boastfully, over the gripping beat.
Again, August Alsina dropped another banger, and it’s safe to say that we’re here for it. We’re sure you will be, too.
