Drake Dishes Out Thousands of Dollars to Miami Residents

It’s definitely the season of giving… at least for Drake.

On Tuesday, while in town to shoot a music video, the “God’s Plan” lyricist paid a surprise visit to Lotus House–a Miami-based homeless shelter for battered women and children, and he certainly didn’t come empty-handed.

According to TMZ, Drake came bearing brand new toys and games for 140 little ones, and he also gifted 130 women with $150 Target gift cards.

Additionally, the rapper generously donated a $50,000 check to help fund and further establish the nonprofit organization’s recently-opened home.

“[Drake’s donation] will nourish [the] bodies, minds, and spirits of homeless women and children who are among the most vulnerable in our community.” Lotus House President Constance Collins told TMZ, adding that the contribution came at the “perfect time.”

However, this is only a portion of the greatness that Drake has done over the past few days.

Earlier in the week, he dished out another $50,000 on groceries for a number of shoppers, $50,000 more to assist a University of Miami student with her tuition, and $25,000 to a high school.
