The Roots Announce Annual Roots Picnic Lineup Featuring Dave Chappelle
The annual Roots Picnic is going into it’s 11th year and The Roots just announced the lineup for The Roots Picnic 2018. The event, which is scheduled to be held on June 2 at Festival Pier in the beautiful city of Philadelphia.
Dave Chappelle will be joining the Roots this year as the top-billed headliner. Philly’s own Lil Uzi Vert will also be blessing the music stage along with Dirty Projectors, The Diplomats, 2 Chainz, 6LACK, dvsn and Brandy.
Black Thought and J. Period will bring back live mixtape to the music stage with featured guest Fabolous & Jadakiss. DJ Drama will be presenting a surprise-filled Gangsta Grillz-centered set in addition. Rapsody, Goldlink, Kid Capri and more round out the musical lineup.
The festival is not just music but a podcast stage will be present. Live podcast will be recorded at the musical event by Drink Champs, ITSTHEREAL (not the syndicated show), and On One with Angela Rye. A lifestyle stage is part of the event as well with panels on fashion, art, hustle and a gaming tournament for Madden and NBA 2K.
Tickets for Roots Picnic 2018 go on sale starting Friday, February 16th.
