Rapper Fabolous Arrested for Assaulting Longtime Girlfriend Emily B
Things aren’t looking too “fabulous” for Mr. Loso. According to TMZ, on Wednesday night, rapper Fabolous was arrested for allegedly assaulting his longtime girlfriend, Emily Bustamante, during a domestic altercation.
Reportedly, following the incident, the 40-year-old went to turn himself in around 8:30 p.m. last night in Englewood, New Jersey, which is where he and Bustamante currently reside. He was accompanied by his attorney, Alberto Ebanks.
“I’ve known Fab close to twenty years,” Attorney Ebanks told Billboard. “[I] believe he is incapable of engaging in the alleged conduct.”
Fabolous was booked for two felonies: aggravated assault and making a terrorist threat. However, he did not serve any jail time; instead, he was given a citation for a court appearance.
Prior to his surrender, sources close to the couple and law enforcement said that Bustamante contacted officials, reporting that she had been struck by Fabolous.
Fabolous began dating stylist Emily Bustamante back in 2002. In addition to Bustamante’s daughter from a previous relationship, together, she and the Brooklyn-bred rhymer share two sons, ten-year-old Johan and Jonas, who was born in June of 2015. You may also remember Bustamante from her stint on the original hit reality series, Love & Hip Hop (New York), which premiered back in 2011.
As of now, further details of what led to Fabolous arrested are unavailable. However, just a month ago, the two were sitting courtside, enjoying some family time.
