10 Women in Hip-Hop You Should Give A Listen To In 2019

2. Kyah Baby

Kyah Baby is from Southside Jamaica, Queens and she is one of my favorite up and coming rappers to listen to and watch grow. Kyah is from a borough that has bred many underrated rappers and many very successful artists as well, she could be the next to really blow.

Last year she showcased her rap freestyle skills on Hot 97 with Funk Flex and she went in with her bars, wordplay, and freestyling to the “Flavor In Ya Ear” beat, the song by the late Craig Mack. One of the songs I was very impressed with from Kyah Baby is “Cold Nights” because she used the perfect flow to compliment the production that she used and it’s really a song people could relate to.

Last summer she dropped her mixtape Sincerely Kyah and a lot of people were impressed with her lyrical skills on a full project. Let’s see if she can build off her success of the tape going forward because she sure is fun to listen to.
