10 Women in Hip-Hop You Should Give A Listen To In 2019

8. Megan Thee Stallion

Megan Thee Stallion is from Houston, Texas. For the last few years she has put herself on the map as an emcee who gets freaky in her videos, but is as equally lyrically skilled as she is voluptuous. Back in 2013 a viral video came out showing that Megan could hang with dudes in the rap game as she was battling her male opponents locally and it proved that she was nothing to play with when it came to the bars.

In 2016, Megan broke through with her first mixtape titled, Rich Ratchet and the song that really captured the fan’s attention was “Like A Stallion”.

In 2018, she had big things happen as she signed to 300 Entertainment, becoming the first female artist to be signed to the label. She also came out with her second major project, Tina Snow. Megan continues to be a special artist to follow this year as she has delivered other songs like “Big Ole Freak,” “Neva” and “Tina Montana”.  Megan is currently featured on Wale’s single, “Pole Dancer”.
