Spike Lee is kicking off the new year right. He won his first Oscar for the movie, BlacKkKlansman, which he directed and wrote, alongside Charlie Wachtel, David Rabinowitz, and Kevin Willmott. Now his series, She’s Gotta Have It–based on his 1986 blockbuster of the same title–has been renewed for a second season, set to hit Netflix on May 24th.

The sitcom features rising talent DeWanda Wise, who will reprise her leading role as Nola Darling.

The show first premiered back in November of 2017, and on January 1, 2018, it was renewed for another season.  Along with Wise’s character, Anthony Ramos, Lyriq Bent, Cleo Anthony, Chyna Layne are in place to return.
