Hugely popular Internet [Vine] sensation turned aspiring singer-songwriter-producer-philanthropist-fashion designer, Sammy Wilk, née Samuel WIlkinson, recently unveiled his latest musical offering, “Lift Off,” an infectious ode to materialistic wealth versus unconditional love.

Based in Omaha, Nebraska, by way of Los Angeles, California, Wilk initially began his career in entertainment back in 2013 though his collaborations with Jack & Jack, later joining them on the MAGCON tour alongside Shawn Mendes, Nash Grier and Cameron Dallas, among others. The now 23 year old quintuple threat would eventually go on to release music with fellow hometown artist, Skate Maloley, under the monicker Sammy & Skate.

April ‘16 saw the unveiling of Sammy’s auspicious solo debut, Ready For War, featuring the Ky-Mani Marley assisted hit lead single, “Light Up.” He and Derek Luh, who also appeared on the album track, “Public Figure,” embarked on the Almost Broke Tour in late 2017.

In addition, Sammy Wilk has also launched his very own clothing line, WILK Collection – exclusively sold on his website and varied pop-up shop locations – as well as having had created the WILK Project, to help raise money and awareness for the children in Sierra Leon, Africa.

“Lift Off,” co-written with Josh X, DJ SwanQ and Sean Island, comes courtesy of KSR Group – the exact same label / production company credited with putting Cardi B on the musical map – and its accompanying video clip, directed by Chris Verona [Post Malone, James Blake], is only a brief introduction of the potential greatness that Sammy Wilk is truly capable of contributing to a money/cars/clothes/hoes culture clearly lacking artistic diversity.
