Earlier this year Birdman and Juvenile released their joint album, Just Another Gangsta featuring the single, “Broke.” On social media they teased a follow-up project, which was originally supposed to be released in July. The project was pushed back, but now we finally get the first single from Just Another Gangsta 2 and it features quite to surprise. The new Birdman and Juvenile single features Lil Wayne and it’s titled, “Ride Dat.”
Birdman, Juvenile and Cash Money originally started promoting the track via social media to get fans ready.
The single marks the first collaboration from Birdman and Lil Wayne since Lil Wayne was let out of his Cash Money Records contract. While Birdman essentially took no losses out that legal battle considering Lil Wayne was paid by Universal Records, there was a bit of bad blood between the pair, considering Tha Carter V was eventually released as the first Lil Wayne album not under Cash Money Records. However, it seems that’s all water under the bridge now, with the pair posing for pics on social media and now releasing this song.
No word on when Just Another Gangsta 2 will be released, but “Ride Dat” will hold fans over til the album is finally released.
The official visual for the track was released on September 13th. The visual features all three rappers!
