After the success of their breakout hit show, “P-Valley“, last year, Starz is back with a brand new show starring an all-Black cast.  The network had the same formula with “Power“, but seemed a bit slow to maximize on the built in audience while the show was in it’s prime. The new series is titled, “Run The World” and it seems to follow a format similar to “Girlfriends” and the more recent, “Sistas”.

“Run The World” was written and created by Leigh Davenport, the former editorial director of Hellobeautiful.com.  In addition to “Run The World” she also wrote a new film, set to release in 2021 titled, The Perfect Find, starring Gabrielle Union. Yvette Lee Bowser also serves as an executive producer for the show.  Bowser created the classic series, “Living Single” and previously served as the executive producer for “Dear White People“.

“Run The World” stars Amber Stevens West, Andrea Bordeaux, Bresha Webb, and Corbin Reid.  The first season will be 8 episodes, premiering on May 16, 2021.

Synopsis:
The story of a group of Black women who work, live, and play in Harlem as they strive for world domination. They’re not only surviving – but thriving together.
