NBC-TV’s streaming network, Peacock recently revealed that the reimagined reboot for the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air would be premiering on the platform.  Shortened to be simply titled, ‘Bel-Air‘, the series features 10 hour-long episodes.  Fans were originally introduced to the new Fresh Prince in a video unveiling with Will Smith, but now we have a look at what the full cast of Bel-Air will look like.

Bel-Air premiered on Super Bowl Sunday February 13, 2022.

Back in August, Peacock unveiled a video of them revealing exactly who would be starring as the new Fresh Prince, with Will Smith delivering the announcement to newcomer actor, Jabari Banks. Banks is a fitting name! It also helps that Jabari is also from West Philadelphia.  In 2020 he graduated from the University of the Arts and this role will be his first major role.

The reboot has been in the works since 2020 and it will be based on a Morgan Cooper viral fan trailer, which was released in 2019.  Morgan will serve as director, co-writer and executive producer, with T.J. Brady and Rasheed Newson acting as showrunners.

Here’s what the Morgan Cooper trailer looked like:

“Bel-Air” will follow “Will’s complicated journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air” and seeks to “dive deeper into the inherent conflicts, emotions, and biases that were impossible to fully explore in a 30-minute sitcom format, while still delivering swagger and nods to the original show.”  The reboot is expected to be much darker than the original series, which ran from 1990 to 1996.

Here’s a look at the trailer:
