The world of high fashion exudes luxury, style, and glamour. Every designer has a story, and as talented new designers emerge, they impact the industry. One such designer is Miss Sohee. From her conservative upbringing to her current undertakings, there is no doubt that she has the potential for an impressive future career.

A High Fashion Journey

Brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Dior, and Louis Vuitton hail from across Europe, but Sohee Park began her high fashion journey in Seoul. She was raised in a conservative culture but grew up with a passion for doodling. As a teenager, she fell in love with couture after watching a Chanel runway show on television.

Park was able to follow her dreams to Central Saint Martins in London. The prestigious design school fostered her growth in extreme haute couture styling. Her hard work showed in her 2020 graduation collection.

A Rising Star

Sohee Park’s first collection began her label Miss Sohee and took the fashion world by storm. While the pieces never had the opportunity to grace a runway, a photo series was enough to deem her a rising star. Designers, celebrities, and young fashionistas took notice.

Within a year of graduating, Miss Sohee’s accomplishments were unrivaled. Her very first collection graced the cover of Love magazine. Dressing Bella Thorne, Miley Cyrus, and Cardi B quickly brought enough attention that custom orders rolled in. Park began working for herself rather than pursuing another job.

A Stylish Design

Several aspects of Miss Sohee’s designs make her stand out. Dolce & Gabbana quickly took notice of the authentic and bold styles Park uses in her collections. The fashion greats particularly appreciate her handmade shapes and voluminous pieces.

Park describes her garments as demi-couture. Designs stem from her appreciation of details, such as embroidery and crystals, combined with a timeless touch of the past. Ultra-feminine silhouettes have been a staple thus far.

A Sustainable Approach

The fashion industry has faced sustainability issues for years. From Burberry to Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci to Versace, luxury brands are working towards more eco-friendly practices. Emerging designers often begin their careers with environmental concerns in mind.

Sohee Park strongly believes in sustainable production. Concerns about the waste associated with mass-produced fashion are part of what drew her to more sustainable couture design. Recycled, natural, and deadstock fabrics make up the base of Miss Sohee’s garments.

A Promising Collaboration

Dolce & Gabbana has been making waves in the high-fashion world since being founded in 1985. In recent years, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana turned their attention to the next generation. The duo hosted collections from emerging international designers at the Spiga2 boutique. They also partnered with up-and-coming designer Harris Reed for a Met Gala outfit for supermodel Iman.

Miss Sohee will be taking part in Dolce & Gabbana’s next big collaboration. The trio will be teaming up for the 2022 Fashion Week in Milan. Not only will the Italian designers help with the creation of Park’s collection, but they will also host the presentation. Models donning the luxurious looks will be walking the runway at one of Dolce & Gabbana’s distinguished locations.

A Bright Future

With the amount of success Sohee Park has had in such a short time, there is no doubt that she can have a bright future. Her passion, attention to detail, and eye-catching designs have to potential to lead the next generation of couture designers. Youth are the future, and it is exciting to see what the future brings.
