The news of the AstroWorld Festival chaos shocked the world Friday night into Saturday morning. Going to sleep, there seemed to be nothing but positive news from the day long festival, but seems the day was marred by violence, raging, a seeming lack in security and eventually, death. The two-day music festival, headlined by Travis Scott, in Houston, Texas, with scheduled performances from Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch, SZA among others, was scheduled to have 100,000 attendees over the course of two days. But after night one, the second day of the concert was cancelled.
Several media outlets have confirmed that there are at least 8 people who passed away at the event. There were 17 individuals taken to Houston area hospitals, 11 of which had suffered from cardiac arrest. Another 300 people were treated at an on site first aid facility.
We certainly realize that this is a very sensitive time for families and loved ones of those that were injured or died at the festival. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those effected. The following is not to dramatize the events that took place but simply a way to highlight the stories of those who were in attendance. None of the more graphic images of people receiving medical attention have been included in this post with that in mind.
