The Adele Las Vegas residency was set to begin on Friday January 21st.  Fans had clamored to get tickets, which were limited in availability and being resold for ridiculous amounts.  But, with less than 24 hours to go before the show was set to make it’s premiere, Adele announced that the Las Vegas shows had to be postponed. More on Adele postponing Las Vegas residency shows below.

In a sincere visual, which was posted to all of her social media accounts, the singer revealed that she and her team had been working on trying to figure out how to make her show work for 30 straight hours, but still couldn’t get it to where she wanted it to be in order to get it to the Las Vegas stage.  Through tears she explained that many members of her team were still unavailable because of Covid after testing positive or needing to quarantine. She also detailed that delays in shipping had messed up her preparation as well.

“Listen, I’m so sorry but — my show ain’t ready,” Adele revealed. “We’ve tried absolutely everything that we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you. But we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID.”

The singer apologized profusely for fans who had already traveled and would be traveling over the weekend for what was set to be the first two shows on Friday and Saturday.  While she says that she will make it right with those fans by offering tickets for the new dates, those travel plans are probably ruined for hundreds.

The video was an incredibly honest and respectable move from the singer, who could have simply released a statement, but you could see that this was the worst case scenario and the last thing she wanted to do. Hopefully the new dates are announced soon.  It remains to see if fans in the next week will be able to see Adele in Las Vegas or if the postponed shows will affect coming weeks as well.

A message on the Caesars website, where the show was supposed to take place states:

All events originally scheduled for Weekends with Adele at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace January 21, 2022 through April 16, 2022 have been postponed.
