Nicki Minaj responds to Remy Ma interview on Drink Champs, hosted by N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN.

Remy Ma’s interview went viral when she told N.O.R.E. that she and Remy Ma had an agreement to not talk about each other. Remy says, ” I just felt like anything I say, people are gonna say I’m talking about her. Anything she says, people are gonna think she’s talking about me, so let’s make an agreement that we never talk about each other. N.O.R.E asks, “this is you telling her that?” Remy Ma responded, “Yeah, conversations. It’s not even me telling her, it’s like a conversation, a back and forth.”

Nicki Minaj responds to Remy Ma by stepping into The Shaderoom’s comments and posting, “He must be misunderstanding what she’s saying to him. Did he say, “This is you telling her that? For the record, I never had this conversation with her or anyone. So ya’ll like that new song “We Go Up” ft @fivioforeign_8fs???? #NewYorkStandUp 2022.”

The Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj beef has been going for a few years now. According to The Jasmine Brand,

“It’s been almost five years since these two ladies had one of the most talked-about hip-hop beefs of all time. It’s still a hot topic that comes up in conversation. The two rappers butted heads in 2017 when Remy Ma dropped Shether. The diss track, which was a spin on Nas’s 2001 enemy anthem, was directly aimed towards Nicki Minaj. Nicki later responded with No Frauds. The two battled on social media, with Remy Ma subjectively throwing the harshest jabs. Highlights from that year include Remy taunting Nicki with old explicit photos, accusing her of sabotage, and mocking her at the VMAs.”

While we haven’t heard much music from Remy Ma since then, Nicki Minaj has consistently been coming out with new music. The most recent new song is We Go Up, the song she mentioned at the end of her response to Remy Ma, which “has reached #1 on US iTunes,” according to Arc.Wav.

Regardless of the Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj beef, both women are accomplished artists in Hip Hop and should be proud of their legacies.
