FOX’s new show, “TMZ HIP HOP,” is set to focus on some of Hip-hop’s Biggest Stories.
It is no longer news that TMZ Studios was recently acquired by FOX from WarnerMedia for $50 million. The producers at TMZ are launching a new Hip Hop show on FOX Entertainment.
Featuring a team of 5 co-hosts, they will be discussing friendships and feuds in the hip hop and entertainment industry. The show will be analysing hip hop culture’s top stars and share their unique perspectives on the day’s most pressing issues. Also, these experts will spill the tea on the romantic lives, getaways and lifestyles, among other things.
Set to air on April 11, TMZ Hip Hop will run for four weeks on Fox. The show will be hosted by Rodney Rika, Amber Diamond, DJ Hed, Cynthia Luciette, and Tonio Skits. Here’s your first look at the trailer
Charles Latibeaudiere serves as the executive producer. While Trent Clark and Jess Fusco are the co-executive producers. According to Latibeaudiere “TMZ HIP HOP is long overdue, and yet, right on time. We’re on the heels of what I’d argue is one of hip hop’s biggest pop culture moments – Dr Dre’s incredible SUPER BOWL halftime show – which reminded the world how much the genre is beloved.”
He further stated “The fact is, it’s been that way for 30, almost 40 years … so, it’s beyond time for a show all about the personalities who’ve made hip hop a worldwide phenomenon. And, I have to say … this group loves talking about it, they have a lot of fun.”
TMZ Hip Hop will be airing on FOX-owned stations across the country. The 10 major markets include New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, Houston, Washington, D.C., Seattle, Phoenix and Minneapolis.Â
