Ye, also known as Kanye West, has had fans waiting on his complete album Donda 2 since late August of last year. Just this past Wednesday May 25, 2022, the streaming service Hulu aired the highly fan-desired documentary entitled Look at Me about the late and very much missed XXXTentacion’s life with answers to still looming questions about the young rapper. On Friday night, at midnight EDT and Thursday evening at 9PM PDT, Ye dropped the single ‘True Love’ featuring XXXTentacion via Columbia Records, and the anticipation wasn’t very high.
The song is featured on both the albums Donda 2 and Look at Me: The Album by XXXTentacion that was also released at midnight.
When the young rapper passed away at the age of 20 years old, Kayne tweeted:” rest in peace ??? I never told you how much you inspired me when you were here thank you for existing “. Fans begged for a collaboration between the two rappers, and they received their wish with songs like ‘One Minute’ form XXXTentacion album Skins, that was released after his death. And the recently released ‘Selfish‘ on Ye’s Donda 2 album via his Stem player.

XXXTentacion, whose name is Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy was born on January 23, 1998 and was killed on June 18, 2018. Since his documentary has aired on Hulu, fans have expressed their sadness and always present love and support, but not much buzz about his new album and song with Ye. But on into the morning hours fans came out in full support.
