It’s no secret that singer-actress Chlöe Bailey is desirable to many, but while that may be the case, those who are swooning over her are definitely curious about her desires as well. This is Chlöe Bailey on her relationship needs plus more…

Recently, during BET Awards Weekend, the 23-year-old sat down for a quick chat with Angela Yee’s Lip Service and revealed just that.

When asked about the creative process behind her latest single, “Surprise,” Bailey expressed how important it was for her to show the beauty in romantic vulnerability.

“What I love is that… when [women] are comfortable in a relationship, that person will bring out that freaky side of us, right?” she said to the hosts. “And I wanted to show the romantic side of a relationship, where you are able to be vulnerable and open up.”

Following Bailey’s brief description of the meaning of the song, Angela Yee inquired about whether or not Bailey had experienced that level of comfortability with a partner.

After answering with much affirmation, she then let us in on how she knows when she’s getting to that point with someone.

Chlöe Bailey on her Relationship Needs:

“You just kind of feel it,” Bailey replied. “For me, like, someone could be really cool and have money, and the glitz and sh*t, but I need someone who pulls at my heartstrings, who’s kind and makes me laugh. I’m a cancer, so I really just love kind-hearted people–love! I’m such a sucker for love. So, when I feel like I’m in love, then you get… hello!”

Further into the conversation, Bailey also shared how she’s able to balance her high-profile career and the amount of male attention that comes with it.

“It is a little creepy because a lot of people talk, right? And I was homeschooled so I never really had the high school experience, and I can’t really have that experience now because I’m out there. People know who I’ll be with–such and such like that,” she honestly said. “So, it’s a little difficult, if I’m being honest, and it’s harder to decipher through who is really with you for you. But, right now, I’m just focusing on myself. And, you know, I have friends sometimes, and it’s cute, fun, but at the end of the day, I gotta put myself first, and that’s what I’m learning.”
