Despite reportedly turning down a “high nine digits” offer to join the Saudi-run LIV Golf series, Tiger Woods joins the NBA legends, LeBron James and Michael Jordan as the only athletes to reach billionaire status.
According to the Forbes news, less than 10% of the American professional golfer’s career earnings and net worth comes from his golf winnings. The rest comes from the massive endorsement deals with big brand names that include Gatorade, Monster Energy, TaylorMade, Rolex, Bridgestone, Full Swing, and Nike, to name a few.
Since the announcement by Forbes, fans have taken to the internet to react about the Tiger Wood’s newly and officially announced feat;

We need Shaq, Snoop, Tiger Woods, Bron, MJ, Magic Johnson, and Dame Dash on a show together where they just talk about plays that got them where they are
I would gladly binge that

I could be wrong, but I feel like this is a good sign re: America’s decreasing racism. Three black men who are rich, significantly due to the fact that their names carry such value in the endorsement world, and I don’t see an outcry from people who are unhappy about it
Progress!
