Nicki Minaj previewed “Freaky Girl” on her social media with the caption, “He want a F R EEEEEE A K #FreakyGirl ????? #NickiFreakyGirl.” The entire song was allegedly supposed to drop at midnight on Friday, July 15th but alas, no such release has happened yet. A month later, on August 12th, after a slight song title change, the song is finally here.

“Freaky Girl” reminds me of her hit single, Anaconda, which sampled Sir-Mix-a-Lot’s song “Baby Got Back.” The sample is in the chorus, it’s very pop hip hop and guaranteed to get stuck in your head. Fans took to social media praising the snippet and creating their own dance routines. The reactions of the full song are probably going to be just as lit.

Nicki Minaj song “Freaky Girl” is making it’s rounds on the internet but her husband is making his rounds inside their luxury home on house arrest. Kenneth Petty is on house arrest for one year after not registering as a sex offender In California. Nicki Minaj’s husband also has to do three years of probation and pay a $55,000 fine for not registering. The sentencing happened on Wednesday, July 6th. The judge gave him a year of house arrest rather than putting him in jail for COVID safety reasons.
