Two legends of the music industry are neck and neck in the race for U.K. number 1 album. It’s the first proper chart battle of the year in Britain and it sees Beyoncé and Eminem competing for top spot. The two are not new to the top of the charts, but this is one of the rare occasions when they are up against each other for the top of the charts.
Bey’s 7th studio album Renaissance which has already spent 1 week at the top, is currently around 100 units ahead of Eminem’s second greatest hits compilation, Curtain Call 2.
The Rap God’s compilation album sees 35 songs in total including two new tracks with features from Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent respectively. Incidentally Beyoncé is featured on CC2 on “Walk On Water” from 2017’s Revival. The song appears on volume 1 of the album.
As the week continues we will continue to see Beyoncé and Eminem competing for top spot. The result will be revealed live on BBC Radio 1 this Friday at 6pm GMT.
