Friday, December 23rd marks the network television premiere of the brand new holiday film, A Miracle Before Christmas on BET. The film premiered on BET+ on December 8th.
The film’s director, LazRael Lison is one of Hollywood’s rising stars, having previously released, #Unknown, Never and Again, Private Number, and the cult classic, Halloweed.
The Arkansas native, who is also a crafty film writer, shared some fun facts about himself ahead of the BET premiere of A Miracle Before Christmas.

- In order to self-finance his first film, LazRael Lison was a celebrity personal trainer for actors such as Mike Epps, Luke James, Joe Clair, and many others.
- LazRael’s first major play in college was at age 18 when he played “Hoke” in ‘Driving Ms. Daisy’, and won numerous awards.

LazRael first fell in love with the zombie genre of films as a youngster because he would watch them at his father’s house. These films inspired his first feature film, Rift, a horror.

04. As well as being an established writer and director, LazRael Lison became a published author with the 2018 release of his semi autobiography, ‘Neighborhood of Dreams.’
05. Prior to starring alongside LeToya Luckett in LazRael’s holiday film, A Miracle Before Christmas, Romeo Miller was an Executive Producer on LazRael’s hit films, #Unknown and Never and Again.
06. Never and Again written and directed by LazRael Lison, and starring Denise Boutte, Jackie Long, and Christian Keyes is one of BET’s highest-rated telefilms of all time.
07. Two of LazRael’s proudest works are two music videos shot in a short film style. One he shot in Arkansas and the other a 1920’s themed video was filmed in LA.
08. The A Miracle Before Christmas soundtrack features “Bad Santa,” a new holiday track from R&B legend Johnny Gill.
09. At the age of 24, LazRael had three modeling layouts in the Onyx Magazine calendar for which he was paid $300.
10. Early in his film career, LazRael turned his entire apartment into multiple film sets. Everything was going great until management caught on and became upset when they saw that he had painted some of the walls as a green screen.
