Celebrities are known to take risks in fashion at significant events. However, the latest trend we at Dolce & Gabbana have noticed doesn’t have anything to do with the red carpet. Right now, we’re talking about the underwear-as-pants movement. Several women, including Kylie and Kendall Jenner, have been making headlines by experimenting with keeping their underwear on the outside, even at formal events.

That said, there are numerous ways to rock this look. A sweater or coat can make this look formal, while cozy boots give you a casual, around-the-house appearance. Tights are also a great way to keep this trend going when the weather gets colder. But fear not, for there are plenty of options to get started with underwear-as-pants. Here is how you can rock this recent celebrity trend.

Dolce & Gabbana Underwear

To get started, you need the perfect underwear, which means nothing see-through or lace. Fortunately, we offer a variety of solid underwear that covers as much or as little as you want. If you’re starting to embrace this trend or have body-image issues, a great way to ease into it is to go with boyshorts rather than a thong.

Sweater

If you’re going to dress this look up, a comfy sweater is one of the best ways to go. Not only will you be cozy, but you’ll also look ready to walk into a 5-star restaurant if you go with suitable materials for the sweater and your underwear. Satin and silk with a hand-knit or crochet sweater offer the perfect dressy look.

Tights

The winter can bring chilly weather, and tights are a great way to keep your legs cold yet show off your drawers. Pair this look with a Dolce & Gabbana caftan, and you will be well on mastering the “I got out of bed looking like this” look. Just remember to ensure the tights are see-through. Otherwise, you lose the underwear-as-pants vibes.

Boots

Boots can be used to dress your look up or down. For example, heeled, knee-high boots can be a great addition to a formal sweater if you’re attending a more formal event. On the other hand, if you’re walking around the neighborhood or attending a casual affair, try a pair of fuzzy boots that will keep your feet warm and can be dressed down.

Tank Top

When you want to stick to the “I’m walking around in my underwear, and there’s nothing you can do about it” look, pair those panties with a tank top and boldly step outside. While this should probably be reserved for casual events, the fashion industry is constantly changing, and this might become formal attire one day.
