Apparently, rapper Kash Doll’s BMF sex scenes only bother her if she’s “looking ugly” in them. The rapper opens up with Angela Yee on her podcast Lip Service about what it’s like to do BMF nude scenes, dealing with postpartum depression, her new mixtape ‘Back on Dexter,’ and more!

Arkeisha Antoinette Knight, known professionally as Kash Doll, is a recording artist and actress from Detroit, Michigan. Currently, she’s signed to Republic Records. The 33-year-old is best known for her singles “For Everybody” and “Ice Me Out,” the latter of which became the lead single from her debut album Stacked released in 2019. Kash Doll has collaborated with artists including Meek Mill, Big Sean, Iggy Azalea, and K. Michelle.

The Kash Doll interview with the ladies of the Lip Service podcast jumps right into motherhood, babies, and childbirth. As easily as women do, they all share snippets of their own personal experiences on the topic which leads to the question of how Kash Doll was able to give birth to her son and be on set for Starz series BMF so quickly.

Kash says she gave birth to her son Kashton Prophet Richardson with fellow Detroit rapper Tracy T. in January of 2021 and was back filming for Black Family Mafia (BMF) in February. She explains during that time of filming she was a little chunkier than before, was unable to breastfeed like she wanted, and felt really insecure. But once filming was done, she was able to get into a routine and get back to herself.

Speaking of BMF, when asked how she feels about watching herself, Kash Doll responds: “It’s fine. I mean it’s cool, it’s just if I’m looking ugly… that’s the only part that makes me mad!” She admits to forcing herself to watch the show with everyone else, that way she can’t avoid the uncomfortable scenes.

The video for the single “OH BOY” featuring Skilla Baby, Cash Kidd, RiskTaker D-Boy, and DJBJ 3525 was released along with the project, and the video for the single “ON THE FLO” featuring DJ Drama, and Sada.
