Kevin Hart is a native of Philadelphia and is one of the biggest supporters of the Philadelphia Eagles. The world renowned comedian is often at Lincoln Financial Field enjoying football games, and was even in the house with 76ers Joel Embiid when the Eagles triumphed the San Francisco 49ers to add another NFC Championship to their belt. The Dirty Birds are going after their second championship title in the franchise’s history, and in support of his beloved squadron the “Ride Along” actor reportedly dropped $16.5 million on a pet eagle (or he claims at least). And to put icing on the cupcake, he fittingly named the bird Jalen Hurts after Philly’s quarterback.

To his 165 million followers on Instagram, Kevin Hart shared a video of his new pet eagle saying: “I believe when you work hard, you should treat yourself, and that’s exactly what I did. Ladies and gentlemen, I splurged a little bit. I went and bought an eagle.” In the footage, the “Central Intelligence” star has a row of Gran Coramino (Hart‘s new tequila brand) bottles lined up; hence, it’s challenging to know whether Hart is promoting his liquor, actually purchased a pet eagle or both.

Kevin Hart went on about his new pet eagle: “I bought that, $16.5 million, cash. I’m the only black man with an eagle during Black History Month. And, because he’s a wild animal, he came with it. I named the Eagle Jalen Hurts. Jalen, you got a big game coming up, baby. You ready?” Apparently, Jalen’s trained handler will be residing at the standup comic’s home for the next eight weeks, helping the bird get acclimated to his new environment.

2018 was the last year the Philadelphia Eagles appeared in the Super Bowl. The Champions of the NFC are favorited over the Kansas City Chiefs, and that’s no surprise considering the Eagles ended with the best regular season record. Keep an eye out for Kevin Hart and numerous other Philadelphia natives at the big game. The Super Bowl kicks off at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday (Feb. 12) on Fox.
