NBA star Trevor Ariza’s estranged wife asked a judge for a restraining order against him.

According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline, Bree Anderson Ariza filed a petition for a protective order against Trevor, asking that he be ordered to stay away from her and not contact her, claiming she fears for her safety. Additionally, she wants the judge to prohibit Trevor from being allowed inside her home, and she’s also seeking sole custody of their two children with the waived athlete having supervised visitation.

In the restraining order petition, during their marriage, Bree said, “[Trevor] engaged in acts of extreme physical abuse towards me. He was verbally and emotionally abusive to me. Some of the abuse occurred in the presence of our children.”

She continued, “I have been financially dependent on Trevor throughout our marriage.” The battered lover then went on to explain why she decided to stay until she had the courage to leave. Reportedly, Bree hoped filing for divorce would put an end to the said abuse, but it hadn’t.

Instead, Trevor has allegedly continued to call her “hes” and “btches” in front of their children and threaten her. “on a regular basis.”

She said that Trevor lives half a mile away from her, which makes her uncomfortable, and he has entered her home without her knowledge.

Bree recorded in the document, “He thinks he has the right to come and go from my residence as he pleases.”

At one point, he even supposedly warned her that he would change the locks and leave her homeless if she didn’t obey all of his “directives.”  According to Bree, Trevor is still refusing to pay her child support and has mentioned taking away the children.

In the petition, she detailed an alleged incident in August of 2021, where she said Trevor showed up at her home “very angry” and demanded that she turn over her cell phone. When she refused, Bree claimed that he threw her on the bed and started choking her but let go right before she passed out. She accused Trevor of having punched her with a closed fist and then continued to punch her multiple times.

Another incident happened on February 17, 2020, where Trevor allegedly choked her until she passed out. “He immediately grabbed me by the throat and started choking me until I was unconscious,” she told officials.

A text from Trevor on September 9, 2020 reportedly read, “Me putting my hands on you has [caused] me to feel like I’m nothing.”

Bree said, “I strongly believe that Trevor’s physical, verbal, and emotional abuse warrants a protective order.” She included several photos of her injuries from Trevor’s suspected acts as part of her request.

Trevor and his estranged wife, Bree, have been fighting in court for months. Last year, Bree filed for divorce from Trevor after four years of marriage. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.
