The female Australian rapper, Iggy Azalea has finally taken to Twitter to share a few words on the news of her former boyfriend, Playboy Carti’s arrest which was made public on Monday (February 13). Iggy Azalea and Playboi Carti were in an on-and-off relationship since 2018 but finally broke it off later in 2020.
According to reports, Playboi carti (real name; Jordan Carter) was actually arrested on December 29, 2023 in Georgia after allegedly choking his current pregnant girlfriend during a dispute over a paternity test.
Iggy wrote on Twitter, “Been there. Done that. Warned you,”
Iggy continued in a separate tweet, “Imagine having a pregnant girlfriend and pretending they don’t exist until it comes out you like to abuse them too – & (and) rarely visiting your actual son unless it is because you’re running from whatever problems ya got going on in Atlanta & (and) the press with your serial abuse of (women).”

According to the arrest affidavit obtained by TMZ, Carti’s current girlfriend told the police that the rapper grabbed her by the throat, pushed her, and held her neck until she could hardly breathe. She even admitted to the police that she feared she would pass away.
Carti’s current girlfriend allegedly admitted to police that she had been dating Playboi Carti for two years. She claimed to have been living with him since July 2022, and was 14 weeks pregnant at the time of the alleged event on December 20.
According to her, Carti and she got into a fight over a paternity test when she tried to talk to him about the baby, which developed into the alleged physical assault. The pregnant girlfriend claims that a witness helped her escape, but still after, Carti attempted to drag her out of a car to prevent her from calling the police using the car’s SOS feature.
According to TMZ, Carti’s girlfriend had noticeable bruises on her neck, chest, and back, which the police noted in the incident report.
Brian Steel, Cartis attorney, tells TMZ,” Mr. Carter was falsely accused. I have informed the Fulton County District Attorney’s office that this matter will be dismissed without any further action being taken or legal action being taken.”
In her last tweet regarding the issue, Iggy (Carti’s ex and baby mama) says, “Anyway. I’m having an actually amazing day! Karmas real! Treat the people you love well! Happy Valentine’s Day.”
