They say “snitches get stitches,” and if that’s the case convicted rapper Tay K may soon need some cocoa butter. “The Race” rapper witnessed a gruesome murder while in prison, tweeted about it, and soon after Twitter users began calling him a snitch. The 22-year-old said he witnessed a prisoner get bashed in the head with a lunch tray, and that the offender stomped on the victim’s head while he was on the ground. Tay-K tweeted: “Dude in the cell by me killed his celly wit a tray n stood on his head woah!”
After Tay-K tweeted about the murder he witnessed, tweeters promptly starting dubbing the “After You” spitter a snitch. One Twitter user wrote: “Rip now stop snitching.” Another posted: “A CO need to take your phone.. stop snitching on that man.” A third added: “bra jus snitched through a tweet,” following up with: “jkjk.” In the past weeks, Tay K has been on Twitter a lot divulging his thoughts. The fallen rapper took to Twitter last month and said he doesn’t think his sentence would have been as harsh if he was white after pleading for one more chance at adulthood.
Tay-K tweeted: “I really just need 1 chance @ adulthood. I bet if I was a lil white kid they wouldn’t have gave me no 55 years for a crime I was alleged to play the most insignificant role in when I was 16….they woulda rightfully argued that my mind wasn’t fully developed and gave me rehabilitation and a 2nd (1st) chance at adulthood. One of my codefendants was a white girl who was 16 jus like me…they didn’t certify her as an adult but they certified me n pimp as adults, pimp got 30, I got 55, she ended up getting 10 years of probation without no deal…that girl @ home rn.”
Later in January, Tay K tweeted he’s “at war within” and behind bars he was being treated like a mustelid. “Im @ war within. I feel like a hamster in here. They’re literally treating me like a ferret in here rn,” he wrote. For killing Ethan Walker, the “Gun Him Down” rapper was handed a 55-year sentence. For two counts of aggravated robbery, Tay-K was given two additional 13-year prison sentences, and for aggravated robbery was also given a 30 year sentence.
