Music producer Hit-Boy has been on a bit of a tear in recent years. After releasing a joint project with Big Sean and winning a Grammy with Nas on Kings Disease, Hit-Boy takes a bit of an unexpected step in another direction completely, teaming up with Musiq Soulchild. The Hit-Boy and Musiq Soulchild Victims and Villains album was released on Friday March 10th.
The new album is Musiq’s first since 2017’s Feel The Real double album. The album features 10 songs, and despite Hit-Boy’s many connections, the only feature is Musiq’s alter-ego The Husel.
Two singles have been released from the projects, along with music videos. The first was “beat of a slow dance” and the second is “i remember you my ex.”
Musiq continues his usual history of stylistically writing song titles in all lowercase letters, and sometimes jamming them all together.
