Tyra Banks Leaving ‘Dancing with the Stars?’ This Is What We Know
Tyra Banks leaving Dancing with the Stars?
After three seasons of serving as the host of the ABC/Disney+ reality competition series Dancing with the Stars, the TV personality/supermodel might be leaving the dance floor.
On March 16, Banks, who took over for Erin Andrews and Tom Bergeron as anchors in 2020, reported the information to TMZ.
“I feel it’s really time for me to focus on my business and my entrepreneurship, and also producing more TV — but behind the scenes. I think it’s time to graduate from the dance floor to the stock market floor… from the ballroom to the boardroom,” Banks remarked.
Banks reacted when asked by the tabloid if this meant she was quitting ‘DWTS’. “Don’t you think it’s time? Yeah, I think it’s time… I’m an entrepreneur at heart. I think my heart, my soul, is into my business; it’s also into producing new TV. But, I really, really want to focus on my business, and you can’t do that hosting a show.”

In 2020 for the 29th season, Banks replaced former hosts Andrews and Bergeron in the venerable competition series. The America’s Next Top Model creator worked as an executive producer as well.
“I’ve been a fan of DWTS since its beginning. The fun mixed with raw emotion, seeing celebrities push past their comfort zones, the sizzling dance performances… it’s always transported me to my days of turning it up 10 notches on the catwalk,” Banks stated at the time.
Later this year, Disney+ is anticipated to premiere the 32nd season of Dancing with the Stars.
