Kanye West’s legal issues have continued.
When it comes to run-ins with the law, the Yeezy founder may as well be Achilles or General Maximus! What’s going on now?
According to TMZ, a former employee of Yeezy is currently suing the former hip-hop producer turned fashion magnate for a brawny $275,000 for breach of contract.
According to the plaintiff, Dora Szilagyi, she was appointed director of product innovation for Yeezy in June 2021.
Reportedly, West approached her about joining his business and persuaded her to leave Adidas while also guaranteeing her a $275,000 severance package in the event that she was let go without cause beyond September 2021.
Szilagyi claims that after she was fired in December 2021, she was not given the agreed-upon severance money. Per reports, “Dora says she doesn’t believe Kanye or his company ever intended to follow through on the severance package and only dangled it to lure her from Adidas.”
Kanye West’s Legal Issues Just Won’t Stop — Here’s the Latest
Not long ago, a federal judge in Australia dismissed Ye’s claim against an Australian burger joint.
The problematic rap star launched a lawsuit in October of last year, claiming that College Dropout Burgers in Victoria had exploited his 2004 album’s title without his consent.
Ye further alleged that the fast food restaurant utilized deceptive branding to connect with the celebrity and his business.
The Herald Sun reports that the Melbourne-based Federal Court of Australia rejected the Chicago native’s lawsuit.
Attorneys for Mark Elkhouri, the proprietor of the eatery, asserted that West had repeatedly ignored them and had “no genuine interest in this proceeding.”
Ye had “commenced proceedings with all guns blazing,” according to Justice Shaun McElwaine, but he did not take any further action.
