Snoop Dogg got himself roped into an April Fools’ Day prank and fans downright loved it!
Even though it is the NFL‘s downtime, the Pittsburgh Steelers are behind the scenes still ‘playing.’
The Steelers seized April Fool’s Day to the fullest, waking many of their fans up to the news that the team had agreed to terms with wide receiver Calvin Broadus Jr, better known as Snoop Dogg. The football club even added a graphic to completely commit to the joke.
When they saw the image of Calvin Broadus Jr. on their favorite team’s Twitter account early on Saturday morning, many Steelers supporters probably took a double take.
However, a quick click on the “details” tab located beneath the Snoop Dogg image—kudos to the graphic team, by the way—displayed that this was simply an April Fool’s prank, and one that was well played.

Snoop Dogg April Fools’ Prank Is Classic & Comical
Naturally, Steelers supporters responded with quips in the comments. “He will be wearing jersey number 42.0 (per source),” said one Tweeter.
Someone else tweeted out, “Finally. Veteran in the lockerroom to take the WR’s to new highs.” While another Twitter user parodied one of Snoop’s verses, “With so much Drama in the NFL, it’s kinda hard for Snoop to play very well…”

Without a question, Snoop Dogg would at least boost ticket sales and host lit after game parties.
Jokes aside, the Death Row Records CEO actually has some athletic talent.
In the Hip-Hop All-Star Game back in 2018, Snoop Dogg exhibited some serious ball skills, grabbing 25 rebounds and blocking five attempts. He could be a big-play WR for the Steelers with bunnies like that.
