[FIRST LOOK] The Color Purple Remake Sneak Peek Is HERE! – The Differences Between the Original & The Remake

The Color Purple remake finally has shown a sneak peek of the movie! 

Everyone has been anticipating the remake of the infamous movie The Color Purple which originally aired in 1985. 

Stephen King who was the director of the original movie, created a storyline that was such a memorable movie.

The cast of the original film was: Oprah Winfrey as Sofia, Whoopie Goldberg as Celie, Danny Glover as Albert, Margert Avery as Shug Avery, Akosua Busia as Nettie Harris, Laurence Fishburne as Swain and Desreta Jackson as Celie. 

In The Color Purple Remake, the cast members and the director will be different. The director of the film will be  Blitz Bazawule. They have created a wonderful cast for the film that will be in theaters December 20, 2023. 

The cast members that will be in the remake will be: Halle Bailey as Nettie, Elizabeth Marvel as Miss Millie, Taraji P. Henson as Shug Avery, Colman Domingo as Mister, Aunjaune Ellis-Taylor as Mama, Corey Hawkins as Harpo, Louis Gossett Jr. as Old Mister, Danielle Brooks as Sofia, David Alan Grier as Rev. Avery, Stephen Hill as Buster, Deon Cole as Alfonso, Ciara as Adult Nettie, Jaamal Avery Jr. as Young Harpo, Tamela J. Mann as First Lady, Charles Green as Mayor and Jon Batiste as Grady. 

Before they decided to remake the movie, it originally was a musical set in a theatre and since it went so well, collecting $103 million in the first year, they know that a movie would also be just as good. 

The movie will be based on the book written by Alice Walker who is also one of the writers of the film. 

The film will be based on an African-American woman who is living in the south and the struggles she faces during the year of the 1900s. 

The movie will bring the same amount of tears, hope & passion that the original movie has given us over the years as well.
