Wait, “Marlo Stanfield” is set to headline the forthcoming J Edgar spinoff? The facts are in.
Jamie Hector, a seasoned member of the Bosch cast, has been confirmed as the star of the previously mentioned spinoff focusing on Detective Jerry Edgar, Harry’s former colleague.
Amazon Studios first said in February that it would be developing two further dramas based on the works of best-selling author Michael Connelly in order to expand the Harry Bosch universe. Hector’s persona is chosen for an undercover FBI mission in Little Haiti, Miami, in the first film, dubbed Untitled J. Edgar project.
Hector, a The Wire alum who starred in Bosch on Prime Video for seven seasons and guest stars on Freevee’s Bosch: Legacy, was initially listed as TBD but has since been confirmed as part of a wider announcement on Monday morning regarding the renewal of Bosch: Legacy for Season 3.

The second Bosch-verse project is a television show that will center on Detective Renee Ballard, a figure from Connelly’s books who is in charge of the LAPD’s brand-new division focused on cold cases.
Beyond merely looking into unresolved felonies, the yet-to-be-cast Renee is committed to giving the police legitimacy and delivering justice to the neighborhood.
Harry Bosch, Renee’s mentor and retired ally, taught her the value of doing things your own way. Renee solves crimes in creative ways while juggling the complexities of being a female in the LAPD who is on the rise.
Along with Michael Alaimo, Henrik Bastin, Kendall Sherwood, Melissa Aouate, and Jasmine Russ as co-EPs, Connelly will executive produce this series.
Titus Welliver‘s Bosch: Legacy‘s second season is scheduled to debut in the fall of 2023.
