After the teen shot dead the man who had publicly assaulted his mother, the “Super Bass” rapper praised him as a “true hero” and promised to pay for his college expenses.
Jeremy Brown, 32, was shot and killed on June 18 by the teenage boy who was allegedly recruited by Carlishia Hood, 35.
Immediately following Cooks County State Attorney Kim Foxx’s announcement that her office has dropped the charges against the two, the internet broke and social media blew up across the board.
Nicki Minaj joined the masses and threw in her two cents, and dubbed Carlishia Hood’s son a hero while volunteering to take care of his college costs.

Via Instagram, the Queens native expressed: “That 14 year old boy that backed dat hammer out when that grown ass man was punching his mother in the face as if she were a man is a true hero.
‘If he wants to go to college, I’d love to help. It’s what any son should’ve done for their mother.”
The hip hop sensation went on: “She raised a dope kid and should be so proud. Also, God knew before she knew that she’d be attacked that day and made sure they had protection on deck. God is GOOD.”
After being detained for nearly five days, Hood was released from the Cook County Jail on Monday. Her 14-year-old son was also released from the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center.
