The first trailer for the forthcoming Special Ops: Lioness has just dropped and the presence of Morgan Freeman has graced it!

The spy thriller Special Ops: Lioness will debut on Sunday, July 23, according to Paramount+, which also unveiled a trailer and new key art.

The trailer, which you can view below, provides a glimpse of the gripping action and questions that must be resolved as well as the stellar cast, which also includes Nicole Kidman, Morgan Freeman, Michael Kelly, Laysla De Oliveira, and Zoe Saldaña.

The show, which is based on a real U.S. military program, follows Joe (Saldaña) as she juggles her professional and personal lives while serving as the CIA’s spearhead in the fight against terrorism. As part of the CIA’s efforts to prevent the next 9/11, Donald Westfield (Kelly) and Kaitlyn Meade (Kidman) of the Lioness Program recruit Cruz (De Oliveira), a brazen Marine Raider, to work undercover with Joe among the leaders of State terrorism.

Edwin Mullins (Freeman), the secretary of state, starts the teaser by posing the queries. The Lioness Program places an agent in close proximity to the daughters and wives of high-value targets before killing the target. However, as you can see, things can go horribly badly.

The spy thriller also features series regulars besides Lioness Hannah Love Lanier, Austin Hébert, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Jill Wagner, Stephanie Nur, Jonah Wharton, and Dave Annable.

Executive producers working alongside Sheridan include Ron Burkle, David C. Glasser, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Michael Malone, Jill Wagner, Geyer Kosinski, John Hillcoat, Saldaña, and Kidman.

Sheridan’s slate on Paramount+, which also includes the soon-to-be-released Lawmen: Bass Reeves and Land Man, as well as the already-released 1883, 1923, Tulsa King, and Mayor of Kingstown, as recently added Special Ops: Lioness.
