Snoop Dogg, a legendary rap artist and businessman, is back on Web3 with a nonfungible token (NFT) initiative that will let his fans follow his every move while he’s out on tour.
The hip hop legend revealed the Snoop Dogg Passport Series, a nonfungible token collection that gives users access to a variety of information, including images and videos that Snoop Dogg shared while on tour and behind-the-scenes recordings.
Future releases of items and artwork will also be available to NFT passport holders.
The “Gin & Juice” hitmaker claims to have been “pushing things forward” for a long time and thinks digital merchandise will play a role in the future.
Along with that, he exhorted other creatives to imitate him: “I’m hoping other artists can see what I’m doing and continue to innovate on their own,” expressed the Long Beach, CA native.
Virtually Go On Tour With Snoop Dogg
Transient Labs, a Web3 company, assisted in the project’s development. The company, according to Chris Ostoich, chief operating officer, is constantly seeking for ways to use blockchain to “offer unique experiences,” and its connection with Snoop Dogg gives it the ability to do so.
Snoop Dogg has long been actively involved in several Web3 projects. In 2021, the rap sensation identified himself as the “Cozomo de’ Medici,” an unidentified NFT collector whose wallet was valued at $17.6 million at the time.
The Death Row Records CEO, who also collects NFTs, collaborated with fellow rapper Eminem to display their Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection. At the MTV Music Awards, the duo sang a song they put together surrounding the NFTs.
Shiller, a live-streaming network powered by Web3, with its co-founders Sam Jones and Snoop Dogg was made public on March 6. With the help of the app, real-time streaming content will be combined with Web3 technology.
