Last night was a night to remember when it came to the VMAs. With so many artists performing, the looks and even some public news about past relationships brewing again. Here is the 2023 VMAs recap.

As host of the VMAs, Saweetie was the trending topic of discussion as many memes were places on the internet for her stuttering throughout her prompt. Many fans claimed that it seemed as though she forgot that she was hosting. But of course, she came back to claim that she knows exactly what she is doing by reviving herself.

It wasn’t just Saweetie that that the fans had their eyes on, it seems as though it has finally been confirmed that Ashanti and Nelly are back together. In a recent video of him speaking with Rasheeda, Nelly mentioned that the two have become really close lately. He continued to state that it feels good to be back friends and it just feels better.

As Ashanti came walking on the carpet, in her hand she held her clutch which had a picture of the two of them years ago at the VMAs on the front of her purse. It seems as though now Ashanti will be saying, “my man, my man, my man”. We love to see it.

Now let’s get into these looks! There were so many incredible fashion statements being made throughout the 2023 VMAs. With Nicki Minaj, Flo Milli, Megan The Stallion and many more walking across the carpet into the award show. We most certainly can not forget Doja Cat who has been nothing but the talk of the internet for awhile now.

Although Doja Cat may not be a fan to some, you can not say that this woman does not know how to put on a show. Over the last few months, Doja Cat has been in the news for the lack of admiration that she gives her fans especially when the fans are the one showing her love. Some fans have told her that they love her and response was that she doesn’t love them back due to the fact that she doesn’t know them. While telling her fans that they should not call themselves kittens or preferring to a cat at all. But it seems as though all of that went away when Doja Cat performed, many people celebrated her and still gave her the flowers that she deserved.

But she wasn’t the only one with some a beautiful performance. Nicki Minaj stepped out onto the stage rapping her hit Itty Bitty Piggy that had the fans mesmerized by her talent. While she also performed one of her songs on her newest album Pink Friday 2 that drops November 17 2023.

Keyshia Cole and Diddy hit the stage also with their duet Last Night. Fans remembered how Diddy wanted her to scream the song while being in the studio as they were recording this hit. I guess you can say Keyshia didn’t forget what she needed to do.
