Frasier has returned to the building, signaling the start of the show’s reboot.
The streaming platform Paramount+ has unveiled the official teaser for the upcoming resurrection of the show starring Kelsey Grammer as the title character.
On Thursday, October 12, the first two episodes of the new series will be released. Thereafter, once a week new episodes will air. On October 17 (Tuesday) at 9:15/8:15c, CBS will also broadcast the first two episodes back-to-back, immediately following a massive Big Brother.
The trailer shows how Frasier catches his son Freddy (Jack Cutmore-Scott) off guard when he discovers that he ostensibly has a girlfriend at his apartment.
Freddy also doesn’t want to hang out with Frasier. “Have you considered that he hates you?” Alan (Nicholas Lyndhurst), a professor at a university and an old schoolmate of Frasier’s, queries.

Frasier follows Grammer’s character “in the next chapter of his life as he returns to Boston with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge, and an old dream or two to finally fulfill,” according to Paramount+. The show was shot at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles in front of a live studio audience.
The series also features Jess Salgueiro as Eve (Freddy’s roommate), Olivia (Toks Olagundoye), Alan’s colleague and the chair of the psychology department at the university, and Anders Keith as David, Frasier’s nephew.
On Friday, October 6, Frasier: Inside the Series, a 30-minute special, will debut on Paramount+, the service’s official Facebook and YouTube profiles, Mixible, and Pluto TV. Additionally, it will be broadcast on a few CBS stations across the country on October 7th.
The 30th anniversary of the original show’s debut (September 16) and Frasier’s return are only a few weeks apart.
With 37 wins (and 107 nominations), that original run has the most Emmys for a comedy series. Both Pluto TV and Paramount+ provide all 11 seasons for streaming.
