Quavo advocates for gun violence

According to The Hill, Quavo is set to meet with some political figures to discuss gun violence today (September 20). After the tragic death of his nephew TakeOff, Quavo has been adamant about creating change within his community.

Today, he will sit down with not only some major political figures but he will also speak on a panel today as well referencing his concerns at the Congressional Black Caucus. He will be in attendance with Democratic Sentator Raphel Warnock, Representaive Lucy McBath & Greg Jackson who is apart of the Community Justice Action Fund.

Quavo is wanting people to be more aware of the usage of guns and the amount people who have been affected by gun violence throughout the years. We have experinced more than 25,000 people who have died from gun violence since August 1st of this year. This will be 118 people per day that are being killed due to gun violence. Out of the 118, 879 were teens and 170 were children.

Quavo has exoerienced what it feels like to lose someone to gun violence but also experiencing the shock of someone you love being killed in front of you because of a dice game. Many people have been speaking about the gun violence in the US for many years but we are still not seeing a major change to the amount of lives that are still being taken today.

We hope that with Quavo coming to the politicians and the panel today that they will start recognizing at least the toll that it is taking for Quavo and others who have lost loved ones.

Greg Jackson does beleive that Quavo could make a difference by standing up for what he believes & hopes that it can make a change.
