Kandi and Todd’s relationship timeline goes down in peach history!

If you’ve been an avid watcher of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, you know Kandi Burruss-Tucker’s controversial marriage to the film/TV producer Todd Tucker is reality TV gold. From messy mothers-in-law to booming businesses, we’ve seen many phases of the power couple’s personal and professional lives.

2011 — Kandi and Todd Meet While Filming ‘RHOA’

It’s been a long time coming for Kandi and Todd’s relationship timeline! If you didn’t know, Kandi met her knight in shining armor while taping a cast trip to Africa in 2011. At the time, Todd served as a line producer on the show’s set.

“I was in Africa [filming] with Real Housewives of Atlanta and the African medicine man was reading my castmates and my future in this pic. He predicted that I would get married soon and he said my husband was with me at that moment,” Kandi captioned under a 2016 throwback of her and her fellow Housewives.

According to the Xscape songstress, the photo was taken on August 3, 2011, and she conversed with Todd for the first time on his birthday, the following day.

2013 — Todd Pops the Big Question on Kandi

On Jan. 15, 2013, US Weekly exclusively confirmed that Todd asked for Kandi’s hand in marriage on New Year’s Day. Reportedly, the special occasion took place during a celebration with friends.

Kandi’s wedding band was accompanied by a two-carat rock crafted by high-end jeweler Gregg Ruth.

2014 — They Finally Get Married

Kandi and Todd reportedly jumped the broom on April 4, 2014, at Le Fais do-do in Forest Park, Georgia. On June 1, 2014, Bravo aired a five-part special on their big day, which concluded on July 6.

The Coming to America-themed event saw singer Fantasia, fellow Xscape member Tameka “Tiny” Harris, Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’s Rasheeda Frost, and then-Housewife Phaedra Parks, among others, as a part of the bridal party.

2016 — The Not-So-Newlyweds Welcome Their First Child Together

In 2016, Kandi gave birth to a baby boy, Ace Wells Tucker. She told PEOPLE: “Todd and I have been waiting so long for his delivery and he is so very perfect.”

2017 — Their First Restaurant, Old Lady Gang, Opens in Atlanta

Husband-and-wife team Kandi and Todd took their entrepreneurial efforts to new heights when they opened a Southern eatery called Old Lady Gang in Atlanta.

The restaurant’s Westernized theme is inspired by Kandi’s mother and aunts: Joyce Jones, Bertha Jones, and Nora Wilcox.

In March 2024, the honorees celebrated the spot’s seventh anniversary.

2019 — The Pair’s Second Child Together Is Born via Surrogate

On November 22, 2019, Kandi and Todd welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Blaze, through surrogacy.

In an episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kandi explained that the little one was supposed to have a twin, but one of the embryos didn’t pull through.

“I was sad at first, but then I just had to be grateful that the one made it,” she said.

Blaze will be a 5-year-old this year. Her brother, Ace, just turned 8 years old in January. Check out the Tucker babies recently hanging out in the pool with their dad below!

2020 — Blaze Steak & Seafood Opens

When it comes to a bag, Todd and Kandi are going to get it… by any means necessary!

The New York native and his Georgia peach launched another restaurant, Blaze Steak & Seafood, in 2020.

The name, of course, came from their baby girl who was born a year earlier. Todd offered a first look at the establishment on his YouTube channel around its grand opening.

The Tuckers are Black love and excellence personified!
