Jay-Z has artfully returned to Instagram after taking a two-year hiatus on the platform.

Prior to making his return on August 29, the “Can’t Knock The Hustle” rapper took his presence off of IG and deleted his account.

He may have followed more users in the past, but this time around Jigga elected to follow only one account — his wife Beyonce‘s.

The Brooklyn native used the app to upload a trailer for the forthcoming motion picture he’s promoting titled The Book of Clarence.

Lakeith Stanfield, the movie’s leading protagonist, plays a family man in 33 AD who resides in Jerusalem. A renowned soundtrack, including a classic by the late Prince, “I Would Die 4 U,” as well as brand-new songs from Jay-Z and Samuel, chronicles Clarence’s voyage in meeting Jesus Christ and resolving to become a messiah.

Instagram Welcomes Back Jay-Z

The cast also features Teyana Taylor, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, David Oyelowo, Anna Diop, Omar Sy, Micheal Ward, Caleb McLaughlin, and Marianne Jean-Baptiste. The movie was written and directed by Jeymes Samuel, and Jay-Z is one of its executive producers.

Previously, Samuel and the “Black Album” creator collaborated on his Netflix film The Harder They Fall.

Prior to the debut of the new movie, Jay-Z talked to Vanity Fair and revealed his worries about what viewers would think of it. He believed that instead of focusing on the human story, the audience would “immediately just focus on the religious aspect of it.”

“This story is about a young man who finds his faith through love and through wanting to become somebody in the world, which is the story of everybody. Everyone wants to find love and everyone wants to leave this place having accomplished something, having left their mark that they’ve been here and hopefully affected the world in a positive way,” the Grammy Award winning rapper expressed.

The celebrated musician has a history of promoting his ventures on the big screen on social media.

Jay-Z has spent more than 15 years establishing himself in the motion picture business. Hov has created a number of works, beginning in 2022 with State Property.
